Last night there was a tornado of a party across the street. Houseful of
20 something dudes in full on party mode. Apparently from what I could gather
from the 100 decibel conversation level, the jack was flowing , the weed
was killer and no one had mastered smoke on the water on an out of tune guitar
as of 4am. Best line of the evening, said in a dead on spicolli voice "Dude,
welcome to our humble abode".

i don't know if the williamston michigan tornados hit your news but
that's us. some poor couple who moved in that day to their new house
died that night when their house was put into their pond by the storm.
it's a stroke of luck that more were not hurt as the bulk of the 150
yr old trees fell between buildings, though there are a lot of newly
made ranch homes in the area.

only from the news. 2 months ago the sister was murdered by an ex
boyfriend who came up from indiana for the murder/suicide. and the
other brother who was killed last month in a car accident.

we drove through the town yesterday...what a mess. almost every block
looks like a war zone and the park with the volunteer built playscape
and 150+ yr old tress are all gone. amazingly, other than the two who
died there were no other serious injuries.

yeah, we're fine.

WHAT!!!???? ;oO............man!!!.......that's downright freakin'
unbelievable!!! Reminds me of some stuff in my family. All of my mom's
siblings and their kids (except for one) died in strange and tragic
ways....not quite as "back-to-back" as this particular situation, but just
as bizarre.

About 10 years ago a monster tornado levelled a part of a little town north
of Austin called Jarrell. I went up there to see if I could help. there
really wasn't anything to do because there was nothing left in the area
where the tornado hit.
