You used the insert sends on Paris to route each track to its own output, or
Auxes if you needed to combine and then return to the console?
I haven't done it but it seems like you should be able to leave Paris in
"record-ready" mode and monitor input when stopped and repro when playing
back.

You can use the post fade Aux sends for the outputs to the console...
this allows you to use the inserts for processing, and fader
automation in Paris on mix. Simply set all the Aux sends to external
and patch "Send 1 left" to output 1, 'Send 1 right' to output 2 etc.
You would have to use outboard effects, or switch back to ITB to mix
using Paris FX. As far as monitoring goes, Paris behaves exactly like
a tape machine would so no adjustment needed there.

Aaahhh, the stereo Aux, of course.
Excellent!
Thanks,
Sandy
