I had a new steel guitar delivered to me while working at Quad Studios in
Nashville--a beautiful blue lacquer body with nice pearl inlay. The builder
dropped it off that evening and we had it out on the studio floor with lots
of other gear etc. After we went home, cartage came by to pick up all the
gear--at least three different companies. Anyway, when we came back the
next morning, the was a big ding right under the pearl inlaid logo on the
front--clear into the wood...didn't even have it 24 hours.
At least I didn't worry so much about when it was going to happen...
