The brief overview...
I've restored an image to the HDD of a working Windows Image with Ghost,
so in theory all software possibilities are gone. This is an image I have
restored several times already, so I'm very sure it should be fault free.
I have tried each of my two EDS cards on their own. I have reseated the daughter
boards, cleaned off any dust or dirt from the cards, and tried both cards
with the MEC and the 442 which each have their own SCSI cable. As a last
attempt I switched C16's and unplugged the MEC/442 and used just an Interface
2 which I bought from Deej a while back. Same error still.
So three different interfaces, two different EDS cards, two different PCI
slots and a new working HDD image all yield the same results.
Error 7/7.
It's the MB isn't it? Or Power Supply? Now that I read back what I've done,
it has to be.
How irritating.
The MB has needed replacing since the dawn of man. I've had about enough
of it. Perhaps I should get something else. It's a Gigabyte Ultra one...
what's the model...? KX9S or something? You know the ones...
Grrr... ;o)
Cheers,
Kim.
