My alternate G4, which I use in the studio for Digital Performer and outside
the studio for the occasional remote, has died. Don't know what the problem
is. It might be a simple fix but if it costs more than $50 or so it might
make more sense to replace it. I'm thinking that it might finally be time
to try running Paris on a PC. Kerry tells me I can put a smokin' Paris PC
together for under $200. Can anyone steer me to which bits and pieces would
work? If I were to make this my main studio machine I have a Magma 13 slot
expansion chassis so PCI slots is not an issue. Also, anotgher BIG question
- How would I use my old Mac formatted drives w/ a PC system. Would I have
to somehow copy them all over to PC formatted drives? That's a bit daunting!

Thanks!

Use MacDrive to access your Mac data. Obviously, not the OS or boot stuff,
but the Paris projects and paf stuff? Macdrive...

Will MacDrive allow me to actually record and mix from Mac formatted drives
or would I have to copy from the Mac drive to a PC drive?

drive to your PC's drive(s).
