To Anyone,
I'm trying to find a DX wrapper that will work with UAD-1 on my new computer.
I downloaded demo version of "Chainer" and Spinaudio wrapper. I can load
Chainer, and it shows me a very promising interface, but unless I bypass
Chainer I don't get any sound out of my track.
When I use spinaudio I can choose my plugin, but there is no effect when
I change the settings.
Can someone help me?
Thanks,
ron

OK, I've made some progress...
I inserted "insert" on the first Chainer channel and now I can get UAD-1
effects to work when loaded on the subsequent channels. Problem now is that
the meters don't work, nor does the UAD-1 plugins reflect the presets that
are loaded, even though the audio is effected by preset changes. But I think
the last issue may be due to the fact that I'm playing with demo veresion
rather than the full version.
Am I doing this right?
Are UAD-1 plugs fully functional in Chainer??
Thanks,
Ron

I've never used Chainer or Spinaudio wrapper, but when using the UAD-1 as a
VST effect without the FXpansion wrapper, the meters and presets were
unavailable. I think you are going to need to wrap the UAD-1 somehow before
you can get full functionality.

Yes,
I just tonight got my Fxpansion 3.3 working once again with my new Paris
config. I was having problems because of a different version of Fxpansion
that my Samplitude program had loaded. I removed that other version and reloeaded
3.3 so now I have meters when using the UAD-1 stuff wrapped with Fxpansion3.3.
But since I started checking out Chainer I now would love to have the functionality
it offers. I would definately buy the full version if my UAD-1 meters would
work. I think it's been done, but I haven't yet figured out how.
Maybe Dmitrios will chime in here and show me the way.

Dimitrios has a scenario figured out wherein it is possible to achieve very
low latency (relative to what the FXpansion option offers).
Send up a flare.
;o)
