1.Can you run PARIS on multi-core cpu's? I remember Edmund saying that PARIS
was a multi-threaded app and would "just work"in his
words when dual processors became available(this was in 2001?)
2.Is verison 3.01 available for PC free(I would think by now since
its been dead for so long)
3. Is it possible to add Rewire to PARIS? I asked for this way back
when Edmund asked for request. Everyone was asking for MIDI back then,I thought
that Rewire would have been a better way to go,but who am I.
4. Any plugin compensation solution available?
5. If rewire is out of the question, how are the inter-audio
transfer solutions? (Jack audio..I think one was called)
Could you list any other advances I might not know of.
respect

Hi Nappy,
Others will jump in with better info, but since I'm just newly back in
my basic understanding is:
1. Yes, with the work that Mike Audet has been doing on the drivers, and
the couple of utilities to bind paris to a single core.
2. Not to my knowledge.. (cough)..
3. Don't think so.
4. Yes, a couple of them, one new one which look pretty cool when I read
about it. Kerry G can fill you in better on this. I think there's info
on the Paris wiki he did.
5. Not sure, I've gone the 2 comps/lightpipe route, I figure that's the
least stressful path with Paris. Wormhole is maybe what you were
thinking of?
I also did get Paris running on my Mac Pro, but then reinstalled and had
some issues (very likely pilot error in configuring), so I just ended
up putting together a new single core Athlon pc for around $200.
Cheers,
TC
