I'm considering purchasing an analog board as a front end to Paris, then editing
in Paris and then mixing back out on the board. Kind of as a Radar setup,
with Paris substituting for the Radar. Anyone doing this already, or know
if this would be a positive venture?
I'm looking at the new Toft boards and also an old Amek Angela.
Thanks,

michael bliss

I wouldn't recommend this, only because the Paris mixer is, in my opinion,
the key feature of the DAW. There are some odd workarounds that have to be
considered with it, however, it *sounds* fantastic.

rock on,

Hi Michael...of course a nice analog board would be great with most any
system..especially if the preamps and EQ are very good...If you have summing
bus or direct outs for each channel, that's a great way to mix.....If you
have great outboard clock,A/D-D/A that's even better....tonehouse potomac,

I use My Paris System on a 56 Channel SoundCraft Ghost Console. This board
made my mixes go up to another level. The summing buss improved as well as
the stereo imaging. Overall, it makes mixing easier. Even if you just use
2 channels to into the Analog board then to a master recorder or banck into
Paris ..Big Improvment...

thanks Lamont, that's what i've been thinking as far as mixes. Keeping that
Paris sound and possibly expanding the stereo image.

I know most people are selling off their old boards and doing more and more
mixing in the box (or always have). I could be totally thinking wrong here
or just going in the wrong direction, but i've been thinking of going for
that organic sound and thought Paris would be the perfect "tape" machine
for this. Any other possible problems i may be facing going this route?

Aaron, i didn't catch your link.

Thanks for the input guys,
