OT: Dual-Boot for Dummies? [message #76428]

I currently have my Paris rig running on WinME - If I wanted to
set that PC up for a dual boot (ME/XP) can I do it on the
current system drive without having to reformat & load both
OS's from scratch?

Neil, I believe the key is to install ME first, then XP on a different
partition or a different drive. At least that's what I did here, 98 and xp
in same box.

You can use a form for PartitionMagic programs to partion the disk in up to
4 partitions without losing any data. I know Symantec, Acronis and VCOM are
selling these kind of things.

What is the safest transition when upgrading from 2.2 to 3.0? My fear is
that if 3.0 crashes on install,then I cant' revert to 2.2 .Should I do this
type of partition on the drive,or can I just copy 2.2 someplace,then
uninstall it..and have that as a revert option? I am on Win XP home.
