I’ve been experimenting for a few months trying to find combinations of Firewire
drives, USB drives and audio interfaces that would work as a portable solution
for editing and mixing on my Intel /MBP. I now have a good solution that
is based on a new ExpressCard/34.

I posted about it on Gearslutz if anyone is interested.

If you read my posts you will see that I am writing, once again, as if English
is NOT my native language. :-)

Not stated, but this thing screams! I can’t wait to try the Quad Mac Pro
or whatever comes after the Quad!

I hope to have a Quad 3Ghz Mac Pro to play with within the next few weeks.

The numbers on the dual dual core Dells on the Nuendo hardware forum are
amazing. Combined with new (beta) RME drivers (or Lynx cards), these
machines are getting fantastic results at 64 and even 32 sample latencies.

Intel has a winner for sure. I wondering if I can hold out for dual quad
cores.... :-)
