Hi All.
I'm pretty happy with my latest build.
I've had to reduce my EDS count from four to three. (It has three, yes THREE Legacy PCI slots) I can't actually remember when I last used more than 48 tracks anyway.
I found what is probably the last semi-current MOBO here:
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/193870300158 The Seller (in China) still has stocks. Mine was new with the I/O shield included, but NOT in a retail package.
It is an ASUS Prime H310-Plus R2.0. It only has two DDR4 memory slots, so 32 GB is the maximum. It uses the LGA1152 layout. (Intel 8th and 9th Gen). Windows 10 installed, with Mike's drivers.
I reckon this will be my final hoorah before I retire.
Seems very solid so far.
Could be the solution for folks who don't want to go the external PCI expansion route.
Regards,
Kim
