As for the FX presets, I thought there was a readme file. It's been a while
so maybe I was wrong. Anyway, just go to the .exe files, double click to
open them and you will see the effect inserted in an aux bus slot. Click on
the effect and you will see a number of presets in the upper box. Click on
these presets and then click in the arrow to load them to the lower box.
Then save the project and move on to the next one. Once you have done this
for all of the preset projects, the presets will show up and be available
for any Paris project.

Well, they have to stay in business right? Doesn't that mean raising the

Being the bottom-feeder that I am, I LOVED it when the PT guys dumped all
of their old Magma chassis when they upgraded! I say yay for raising that

maybe I should pull off the road and look for a pay phone. yeah I should
use a pay phone with who knows whose germs on it. These days that matters.
I can give you about 10 more great reasons.
There are always idiots out there using cell phones-You have to get past
that.
As far as the Ipod goes. It is one of the first great inventions of the 21st
century. I mean to have 5000 songs at your disposal is amazing. Who cares
if they are Mp3's. It has helped me get through waiting rooms,lines and has

There you go. But this no more means that audio quality does not
matter than to say that the quality of piping in your house doesn't
matter because you don't notice it. Yes the results of bad audio
are not as bad as a flood in your house, but it is still our dang *job*
to make things sound good.
Good is defined as that which gets the music across most effectively
to the most people.
I can record rock like it was an orchestra and it will not engage
the listener much. In rock, we want the stuff to pop out at you, and
this is part of our job to make it do so.
I would say that the lower in quality the reproduction medium, the
more important it is to have a standout mix and great mastering.
And, I would also say that the lower the average quality of
recordings becomes (due to so many amateurs with home setups)
the more of a business opportunity we have if we can really make
the stuff sound great.

In all honesty, I have downloaded a ton-load of great music with iTunes.
It's been one of the best things that ever happened to me, having the option
of 1 or 2 great songs from an otherwise-mediocre 30-year-old album; the
artistic education going on at my house has been ridiculously accelerated
because of it.
I can't wait to get an iPod, and an iPod-compatible car stereo deck.
Truth is, I have audiophile ears, and I am perfectly content with AAC on a
day-to-day basis. It's better than having a list of "wanna-buy" albums
mounting into the "tens-of-thousands-of-dollars" category, that's for damn
sure....

>Yes, you want it in the same folder as the paris.exe - and be careful of
that, because the installed will try to add a \parispro folder to whatever
you tell it to go to. Watch very carefully that hasn't happened to you.

I've used various TL Audio preamps over the years. I've never used the one
you are mentioning here, but my experience has been that they lack input
headroom compared to some other preamps so you have to be very careful. If
this unit has a pad, then it might be worth a go. If not, you may need to
use line pads on hot sources to prevent overloading the input.

This is actually kinda really wierd for my DAW PC, as I seem to
have gotten lucky with my configuration, and am able to run
more tracks & plugins at a higher sample rate in SX than
Steinberg support says I should be able to, so it's rare that I
have a plugin that does this, but this is one of 'em.

I've got one of the 4 channel 2001 Indigo series preamps here. It's got a
sweet coloration, but not nearly as much input headroom as the older PA1's
and PA2's.
I think the Ivory series replaced the Indigo series, which probably means
that they couldn't sell the Indigo units at the original price point so they
built something cheaper so I would expect probably a less robust circuit.

Please contact me at my personal email to discuss how to get these to you....possibly
you can post them somewhere for others to download.
I can either provide the different bitmaps for the changes or, to save someone
the time in creating their own "exe" file, I can send you a cd with the different
Paris.exe files (all you would need to do is save your original ".exe" file
to a temp directory and replace with one of the "exe" files I have created).
