Hey all I never really
much about my badn so I figure I may as well start,
My band is called The Blizzard of 78 and we have a new CD out.
Most of it was recirded when i first got Paris and only had a 442 and an
int-2 so much of it was 3 or 4 drum mics tops! all mixed on a pair of Tannoy
Reveals (I have dyaudio BM 15s now)
You can download all the whole thing at Itunes, just search The Blizzard
of 78 the title of the CD is "where all life hangs" Paris user Phil Aiken
played most of the keys on it,

a digital age it is so wonderful to hear such analog sounding stuff...Oh

Yeah, that's really cool.
"Show Me" sounds like the lovechild of U2 and Radiohead, and I mean that in the best sense.
Love his voice..

Hey this is some really nice work.
I don't get into rock that much these days as there is so much bland stuff
about, but yours has some body to it.
And you can really hear Paris.
I didn't do a full sound quality test... just through some half decent wooden
PC speakers I have, but I can tell it sounds OK at minimum. You can certainly
hear the Paris sound in it all. The singer has an excellent voice and there's
some nice song writing going on to boot.
Lovely work. Keep it up.

Thanks for the kind words guys, Like we all do most of the time, I wish I
could go back and redo some things, but part of what we do is of the time.
I wish I had the pres and mics and inputs I have now.
But Mike is sort of on the right trail, just get out and make music. Don't
worry too much about doing things the correct way with the right thing eh?

Yeah, Cuj... I heard some of this stuff before when you posted
a link awhile back, or sent it to me in e-mail - can't remember
which... I like it.
And BTW, I was THERE (in Worcester) for the Blizzard of '78!

I don't know about Neil but I was on Beacon Hill during the Blizzard of =
'78.
National Guard and everything. It was so cool to be stranded as a =
Berklee
student on the hill. Those were the good old days. I didn't care about
politics back then. I forget if that even mattered.

Cuj - originally, yes... I was born in Worcester & lived there
13 years, then moved to California, went to high school there,
then moved back to go to college. Had enough credits to get out
of high-school mid-term, so I arrived back there pretty much
JUST in time for that blizzard; I think I had been there maybe
two weeks when it happened. After a year there I'd decided I had
enough of the snow & missed the beaches, so I moved back to
Cali in Feb or '79. Now I've been in Texas since early '88...
longest I've ever lived in any given place, really, so now this
place pretty much feels like home.
