My guess, and only is a guess, would be that the time stamping is coming
from the PPJ itself. To support this theory, we can take a PAF file in one
project, and it knows where it should be because it orginated or was
imported to that project, right? So, open this PAF in another PPJ that does
not 'know' this file, and it will place it where you stuff it, or at the
beginning of the track if you use the time locked tool.
That's my theory, anyway.
