Hmm... you're OS9, right? Maybe it's actually telling you the truth.
Did you reinstall PARIS after that crash? If so - check to see if the memory assigned to the application is still at the default value (select it in the Finder and do an "apple - I" and look at the numbers). If it is, double it (at least - depending on how much RAM you have) and see what that does. Feel free to give me a call if you need some moral support on this, I'm in and up for a couple of hours.
