I am attempting to build a new computer and I know the EDS is a 33Mghz, 5
volt PCI card, but is it a "keyed" 5 volt card?
I just finished reading a specification paper on PCI 2.1, 2.2, and 2.3.
To make it short, this is my understanding:
if the EDS is a "keyed" card, it will NOT be compatible with PCI 2.3, but
2.1 and 2.2 would be.
Of course, most Mobo manufacturers don't even bother listing what version
the 'classic' PCI slots are so if this is a keyed card, I need to know.
Actually, if any of you could tell me what kind a computer you're running
your PARIS on, that would be really helpful.
I would like to build the most 'modern' computer possible, but the most 'current'
stable config I've heard of was a P4 running XP. And I don't even know if
that was a 775 or 478!
If anyone out there could shed some light on this I would be soooo grateful.

mine's still an older Asus A7s333 system. No need to upgrade it, and I think
at least 3 other ppl here are also running that mobo (It's an AMD system,
btw).
Hopefully this'll get the ball rolling here.
