The last three projects that were given to me from a Nuendo rig all needed
to be stripped...nothing new there but inevitably every one of these Paris
project ends up showing an unhandled exception notice and will not load,
with Paris crashing right after closing the message...and is most cases
causing the computer to crash and restart.

Then yesterday Paris itself somehow got corrupted and wouldn't let me
launch...got an "unable to locate vst folder" notice immediately followed by
an unhandles exception notive and then a complete black screened comp.

Had to remove Paris and reinstall it...no big deal but a PITA

As a work around - if I immediately render these newly stripped wav files as
new PAF's and delete the original PAF files the problem disappears

Very Weird

I haven't seen that directly, but if I'm doing another DAW's stuff it's
probably going to be 24 bit and that means import to PAF after stripwav.

Doesn't it do this anyway???.....whenever I load a .wav file in Paris, it
automatically makes a .paf out of it. Have I been doing something wrong?

Mine were converted directly to PAFs once the wav files were stripped and
imported but then all hell broke lose...had to go through over 40 songs and
render all the tracks as new PAFs...a pain but it seemed to work

I don't think that's the case at 16bit, my preferred rock/n/roll dude
format. I have moved them back and forth between other DAW's in that format
I dunno how many times. However, I'm not using import IIRC.... been a while
since I did this.
