Says it's designed specifically for mics (ribbons, dynamics,
Tube Mics) that need no Phantom Power, so it's got high gain,
minimal circuitry, no phantom-blocking capacitors in the signal
path (could be clean as heck!), designed by Fred Forssell.

$750 for 2 channels.

I've got five tube mics that might just like this thing.

Anyone? Bueller?

I played with it at AES2005 and liked it, but how can one really make
critical judgements on the Javits Hall floor. I would definitely love
one to drive my AEA R84 mic. Of course, then I would need to get a
second mic to keep both channels of the preamp occupied!
(Un)fortunately, I do so little live miking work here these days, that
I can't justify spending that kind of money for a preamp when I have
perfectly wonderful GreatRiver and Cranesong preamps here.
