I double check with Apple. Logic academic version is $449.00. It is not
updateable, so, it makes no sense to buy the academic version. The same
goes for Logic Express, the academic version is $179.00.

got mine through msu for $149.00 add to that the $30.50 it cost me to
ship back the update and...damn...screwed again. ;o)
