Hi Mates!

I own a PARIS System III & a Mac G4 DUAL 1.25Ghz MDD (Model:
M8570) Machine.

My G4 only has 4 PCI Slots but the throughput is the best made
on a G4.

I was considering puting my PARIS EDS-1000x Cards & RME-Audio
HDSP 9652 Soundcard into an External PCI Expansion Chassis.

I was looking on eBay & found 2 basic types.

The Magma & The Avid.

I was wondering if you knew of the differences or what I should
be considering.

I know that the PARIS Cards are the Slower 32Bit with slower
Bit Depth & Mhz than the G4 itself.

I was wondering if you would recommend one over the other or
what factors to consider?

I wish to leave the remaining 3 PCI open in my G4 for Faster Cards.

What do you reckon - What would you guys reccommend?

Just make sure it comes with the cable!

Also, make sure it comes with the fan assembly. It blows air right down
on to the PCI cards - perfect for EDS heat issues.

The Avid is just a re-branded Magma. I'm using an AVID branded Magma 7 slot
with a PC/PARIS setup with no problems.
