A friend and client just bought a Line-6 Toneport And it comes w/ Ableton
Live LE, which has him totally baffled. He's an acoustic guitar playing
singer songwriter and Live! seems like the absolute wrong software for him.
Can anyone make a suggestion for a simple recording program to use w/ the
Toneport?

Thanks,

Gantt

If he is willing to just dig in a little he will probably love it. It's a
very popular program and basic tracking should not be too hard. Otherwise,
maybe Cakewalk Sonar.

Hi Gantt,
None of them are simple!! :)
If he a PC guy then I would recommend Reaper if his main needs are audio
recording.

It's really cheap and really powerful if he decides to get under the
hood of the program.
They have a very helpful forum and a good manual.

It will work fine with the Tone port.

If this is PC, then sonar or vegas are the easiest to learn programs for
basic use. Assuming standard ASIO on the toneport, he might also try reaper.
