| Help! Paris freezes after setting record path [message #80330] |

I am using windows 98 3/eds cards 2/mecs. Paris will play all tracks with
no problems, but for some reason it will not record. I did add a new seagate
hard drive, a dual video card,a new keyboard and mouse. Before I change everything
back any suggestion.

Go find a copy of Norton Ghost... best thing you'll ever purchase.
It will backup and image of your hard drive... Replace the drive and
restore...
Most everything is restored as normal. Anything updated or added since the
backup will not be there... including any winders updates... If you replace
anything that reuires drivers.. ie., motherboard, agp graphics card, etc. I
recommend restoring from scratch... because if you restore and don't get
rid of those old drivers properly... it could effect your system. Some of
those
drivers have a simple uninstall... but many don't or will not uninstall
properly.

You really have two roads here. One, ( you will contacting ID about a new
key probably ) you can do GHOST as suggested to move your info across, or
install everything fresh if you prefer. If you've happy with your build use
GHOST, if Windows has chewed it's own guts out, fresh install.
The second road is one you'll need to weigh, and one I cannot give you
complete guidance on but there are those who say you can find something
called Anti Pace through google and rid yourself of the need to request any
more keys to be able to use your own legally purchased copy of Paris 3.0..
or revert to the free 2.x version. No one here can legally supply you with
instructions or the software to crack Paris 3.0, though I've seen posts with
return email addresses asking for assistance. Whether or not they got that
assistance is not publicly known.

I you do have to do a fresh install, do it over your old drive, THEN
Ghost it to the new one. This way your old auth code will still work.
