Does creamware have the 1176?
I really dont want to go get a UAD-1 just for the 1176.
Ofcourse it will come with a couple other good plugs, but...
I am trying to be pratical and just get into what I need at the moment.

How does the Creamware thing work?
I understand how UAD-1 packages work , but cant wrap my head around =
Creamware.
Do I have to purchase the Vinco and the Transient Designer plugs =
seperatly?
Will they work with the CreamWare SCOPE Home Card?
For those who know...what is the cheapest route to go with Creamware
if all I really want is the Vinco anf Transient Designer?

Hi Gene,
They sound extremely close.
The only difference is that the hardware has a small roundness and =
warmth
as opposed to the creamware one.
Note that I decided to let go the hardware becaus I am satisfied with =
the
software.
I believe it is based on the TL072 opa sound involved hardware but I =
can
get the same sound just by using the ART levellar compressor !
The sound is so depended on so many factors which makes you really =
crazy.
Regarding the 1176 DJ has compared the Creamware Vinco with 1176 and =
said
its on the same class !
I believe too although I don't like 1176 compression

The cheapest route to go would be to buy my Project Card
(6 DSP's), which will give you their "Mix & Master" package of
plugins, which includes the Vinco & a couple dozen other plugins
if not more. I'll throw in the SyncPlate, which you would need
if you plan to clock to any external device... $600 out the
door, it's yours.
This card has the "Pro i/o" option (balanced analog insies &
outsies, 2x lightpipe ins, 2x lightpipe outs, plus MIDI i/o.)

Dear Brandon,
If you buy Neil's card I will then send you a couple free transinet designer
typed plugins that are very very good !
These are free anyway but I wrote some preset for the one which is a great

Brandon,
I thought you wanted a suppressor. A compressor with an extrremely fast =
attack characteristic will supress transients. As Gene said, the SPL TD =
is a great piece of hardware if you want to *shape* transients and by =
the time you spend the money for a CW card and the TD plugin, you could =
likely afford the real thing. I found my TD4 on EBay for around $600.00.

Does creamware have the 1176?
I really dont want to go get a UAD-1 just for the 1176.
Ofcourse it will come with a couple other good plugs, but...
I am trying to be pratical and just get into what I need at the =
moment.

I am also looking for an 1176-esque compressor.
Can't get that without getting CW or UAD-1 or the real thing
as far as I know.

Thanks,
Brandon

Brandon,
I thought you wanted a suppressor. A compressor with an extrremely =
fast attack characteristic will supress transients. As Gene said, the =
SPL TD is a great piece of hardware if you want to *shape* transients =
and by the time you spend the money for a CW card and the TD plugin, you =
could likely afford the real thing. I found my TD4 on EBay for around =
$600.00.

Does creamware have the 1176?
I really dont want to go get a UAD-1 just for the 1176.
Ofcourse it will come with a couple other good plugs, but...
I am trying to be pratical and just get into what I need at the =
moment.
