I picked it up at a local Mac store yesterday. I hope to have it installed
this weekend, I’ll post comments after I use it a little.
On first appearances, Apple has addressed almost all of the areas that I
had problems with in Logic 7.
Now, for the ultimate controller (within reason)…MC? I’ll wait till AES
before I decide.

Yes Gene! Please let us know....The multi-take and quickswipe-comping features
look like they might work similar enough to Paris' free-form mode that I
might could consider it. And to get a new OSX version of Waveburner now for
499.00 would almost justify the purchase on that basis alone.

i bought it yesterday but had to cancel (it's already been shipped).
it seems that the educational version is the only one not eligible for
the update price. they really should post that on their site since
even pre apple emagic versions are.

I posted that the other day. Also academic versions of software are not transferable,
such is the case with Adobe.
