Interesting. I wouldn't be surprised if much, or all of it is true, even if
it isn't proven conclusively in the lawsuit. One of the best retailers I've
dealt with was put out of business by GC and Mars.

Of course Mars put themselves out of business. Though one has to wonder if
GC helped them along a bit with some business "advice". ;-)

I can't see how GC is really staying in business from a service standpoint,
so it would make sense that questionable/suspect business practices are
about the only thing they have to offer. ;-))

I will shed no tears if GC gets a knee in the groin, but I would suspect that
being a big box retailer selling music gear in the age of the internet has
to be borderline impossible. I have a few good relationships with retailers,
Morgan at East Coast and Mercenary, but the commodity stuff could just as
easily be bought from sweetwater or audiomidi.com. Morgan and Mercenary distinguish
themselves with superb post-sale support, and I recommend them often, but
I don't know how anyone using non-abusive business practices could make it
doing what GC does.
