Noise Freaks,
The noise sounds computer like. It is coming down the analog
line and is not related to proximity of the cables although I can't
really move them much. It sounds like wc (almost) faintly in the
background and it moves up and down with the fader. With proper
gain staging it improves but still sucks. I'm working on a ballad
that needs quiet. I can't get any of my 4 Mecs to work at this time
so I can't bus via ADAT for this mix. I never heard it through ADAT
in the past. I am hearing it through SPDIF now though.

With a 442 at the receiving end and a spdif and stereo analog at=20
the cubase side what would you do?
Problem Child Tom

It just dawned on me that the Cubase machine is receiving clock
at 48k from an ADAT machine through the Scope Pro card.
This is probably the source of all evil here. Can someone=20
walk me through changing the clock settings to internal on the
Scope card? It has been so long I've forgotten how to edit it.
I looked and didn't see it. This Paris project is at 44.1 so that
could be a major problem.

Dimitrios, Thad, Aaron?

Thanks as always.

Well frig yas all I figured it out myself.

It was grounding. Didn't sound like it but it was.
Simple fix. Ya know on the 442/Mec. Little button
called ground lift?

Got the clock thing figured out too with the Scope card.

One step at a time I tell ya. One step at a time.

Thanks anyway!
Tom
