My friend and occasional co-producer has. He says 1) it has excellent workflow and 2) it's far from finished, there's a lot of stuff still missing.

Agreed..I like the drag and drop workflow, the sound. The built-in fx are really good. However, I really miss the right mouse editing menu like in Cubase & Nuendo. The Mixer skin looks a little "understated. Nothing Like My beloved Paris Gold. with a hint of Ferrari Red 
Overall,I would have to say that they are off to a pretty good start.
Now, Edmund, let's what Paris 2010 looks like.. Bring it on..We are waiting..

For anything to be a contender for a PARIS replacement for me, it has to hit four targets currently unique to PARIS (that is, together).
The Harrison DAW is aiming to hit the first: raw sonics - not clean, not pristine, but colored. I want that coloration. The second is true zero latency monitoring through FX. The third is utter simplicity so my poor right brain doesn't get confoozled and I don't have to haul out my left brain in the middle of my right brain's work day 
The fourth is price - software has to hit a fairly narrow series of gates for me for it to be anything but a completely terrible investment. There's little that depreciates faster as an asset except milk, and right now I need to focus revenue on mics and preamps, which are assets that actually hold value. And at some point soon it'd be really nice to use some of the money I earn in production in my actual life.
The Harrison's doing pretty freakin' well to hit two of those upon entry.

I completely agree. I even like it's Skin.. It's almost as if, Paris (Intelligent Devices)were thinking along the same lines of being a true (Colored) , straight forward mixer.
Not a squeaky clean, transparent mixer. I purchased Paris first and foremost for it's sonics and aesthetics over Pro Tools.
That's why to this day, i really hate mixing on the current DAWs. Can I mix a record on them..Yes..Is it harder to achieve the coveted analog mix..Yes.
Being a Windows based user, I planning purchasing a imac(24 inch) and Mac Pro so at least I can run the Harrison mix buss and maybe the new ID Paris
