Am I correct in saying, you can get one Adat card per MEC to work with XP
on a two card, two MEC paris system, a total of 16 Adat I/Os? Or is this
wishful thinking?

This *should* work. It's when using more than one ADAT card *per MEC* that
the problems occur.
