The project I had in an earlier thread is now done. Thank you Mike A. for spending some of your precious time helping an OS challenged person Smile Smile I truly appreciate it. Everything seems to be working great. I'm running Windows 7 32 on a dual core CPU. I'm far from a power user but this setup gives me room for 2 EDS cards and 2 MEC modules. I currently don't have any modules like I said I'm fffaaarrr from a power user. Here's a couple of pics the savings in room is awesome in my situation..

can you fit an two 8 in & a 8 out into that?? for 24 bit

Oh, now that is just ridiculously cool!

Just imagine sticking two 8i cards in there - voila, a 5 rackspace, 20 channel PARIS mobile recorder...

Kerry, thanks for the phone encouragement. Hopefully eventually I will be able to get an 8i card and an ADAT card. I won't know if there's a noise problem until then.

Hey Jim, I see that you may be in need of an ADAT and a 8i card, I am in the later stages of a full switch to Reaper / focusrite saffire io / tascam US2400 setup and will probably have some Paris stuff needing a good home. I plan on keeping a double system and probably moving out the rest. I'll give you first dabs on the spare stuff.


Once again, great lookin project.

Fantastic job. Did you cut and bend the sheetmetal from the back of the MEC, or did you use new sheet to make the housing around the connector section?

Thanks Colin. It is all new metal. I wanted to be able to, and can if I choose return the MEC to perfect stock condition very easily.
