OK, you're killing me here. Is there anywhere online that has a recommended
mobo/chipset list for Pulsar gear? My debit card is getting all frisky and
wants to buy one of the Scope Pro cards. But I don't need another $1500 dud
sitting in my apartment.

Intel CPU's and chipsets are recommended for this card. Call Ali Fawaz at
N.Am tech support and ask him for the bulletproof setup

I'm running mine in an ASUS A8V-Deluxe mobo with an AMD 64 4400 x 2 CPU with
no problems at all, but it's one of the *least* recommended mobos out there.
It does, however, play nice with 4 x UAD-1 cards and I'm having no problems
with it. If I was starting from scratch, I'd go with Intel.

Hmmmmmm, I have an Asus AMD board right now but I suppose I could switch pretty
easily. But I'm not sure if I'd go for a new computer _and_ a $1500 DSP card
in one swoop.

Also, you realize that if _both_ of us use this stiff Creamware will not
last the year as a viable commercial entity. They're toast. I've loved so
much audio gear that shriveled in the vine or blew up in my face that companies
should pay big bucks for me to use competing product.

Then again, maybe now that I'm a civilian and not an audio writer that's
all over and I'm no longer rat poison to things like the OASYS PCI card .

Thad,
I'm building an AMD box for this also using the ASUS A8R-MVP/ X2 4800 by =
Chris Ludwig's
recommendation. I hope it does well with a Scope Pro card for me. I =
won't
buy the Scope card until I have Cubase running flawlessly. But maybe I =
will. . .
I'll be asking questions for sure.

After buying the parts I realized I should of had Chris build it for me. =
It wouldn't
have been much more and surely would run better. =20

I'm a dumb ass,
