iTunes will git 'er done for you for free. Go into "preferences" and
find the "advanced" tab. Find the "import" sub-tab. Switch that to
"wav", OK it, close preferences. Now go back to your main screen and
select the file(s) and go to your "advanced" menu in the bar at the top
of the screen. Select "Convert to wav".
I don't know if it's header compatible, so you may have to run
StripWav, but give them a try "as is" and let us know how it goes.

As a sidebar - I believe that in the absence of accurate information,
makers of conversion software have made incorrect assumptions about the
PARIS community and by implication the PAF format.
I reckon there's a general assumption that nobody uses PAF any more -
the visible indicator of this assumption is that there are quite a
number of conversion utilities that *read* PAF but a much smaller
number that *write* PAF. Because the work involved to add *write*
functionality seems trivial in comparison to the original task of
including PAF compatibility in the first place, my guess is that the
general assumptions are that PAF is a dead format, the only conceivable
use for PAF compatibility is "retrieving files from old archives", and
that nobody would actually wish to *create* PAFs any more. So my guess
is that *write* functionality wasn't turned on simply because even this
trivial amount of work was thought to be pointless.
I want to address that incorrect assumption head-on. I reckon there's
a comparatively trivial amount of work necessary to make conversion
utilities that *read* PAF *write* PAF as well, so once the forums are
up and running I'm going to be hitting up every maker of conversion
software that I can think of that *reads* PAF format, showing them the
forums and Wiki and blog (giving a more accurate indicator of
existence/size/heft of current community) and say "please turn this
functionality on".
