Hey DJ,
Are you planning to run UAD-1s via FXT? I know people have asked about it,
but can't recall anyone doing it yet.
Otherwise, FXT works great. I ran Reaktor with it on an XP1900+ with delay
compensated, no problem. Your XP 3000 should do nicely. It does take
longer to load FXT-based plugins - at first it's a bit unnerving - just
extra time to calculate the round trip delay.
I assume you got your midi issues figured out?
Regards,
Dedric

Dedric,
Yes. That's the plan. I have been reading some posts about this on both the
UAD forum and the FXT forum. Ric says to buy certain hardware for optimal
performance. That's OK. Some posts suggest that it works OK in cubase SX
except for the delay compensation on the busses. Since two UAD-1 cards work
OK in my machine without crackles, I'll leave two cards in the machine for
bus/send dutiesw and load the other two in the FXT machine. I could even add
a third and forth one to the FXT machine. I never had issues with this old
ASUS A7V8X mobo running 4 x UAD cards.
