I'm coming to the opinion that the EDS compressor can only mildly compress.
A number of people have agreed with me. Is this true? If not then squish
the crap out of this please and show me otherwise. Kill the dynamics so
the volume is very even and keep the sound.

no one up for the squishy challenge? I got voxformer working pretty nicely
in case anyone else has this problem. Squish it !

I would not put it quite that way, but yes, they are not up to the level of
the best outboard gear.
