Hi,

I am thinking about buying a Magma solution for my PARIS system, and have
read some about the 4 PCI version with internal hard disks.

What are the experiences within the community with these solutions?
How does it work with IRQ conflicts?
Is the cooling satisfactory?
Are there any software drivers required, and if so, what Windows version do
they support?
Any preferenes regarding host cards?
Any preferences regarding size of the Magma (4,7,13 slots) ?
Any issues that we now from running PARIS and EDS card in a standard
computer?
Any others issues?

I love my Magama. It's 7 slots, which will come in handy as PCI dries up
on new motherboards. The card that goes into the computer is 3.3 volts,
so you don't have to worry about the 5 volt EDS cards being incompatible
with new boards. I haven't even had to think about IRQ lines or anything
like that. The cooling might as well be designed for EDS cards. There are
2 huge fans that blow down right on the side of the cards.

The only thing I would suggest is that if you get an older one like mine,
make sure you get the flat cable that is supposed to come with it. They
don't make them anymore, and they are rare and expensive. It would be better
to get a newer one with the rounded cable if you can.

I hope this helps.
