Been doing some updating the last few weeks and just put in an Opteron 180 in my Asus A8V deluxe MB to prolong the life another year or two. I stalled Mike's latest drivers and everything finally sorted out and worked fine on a 2 MEC 4 EDS card system as before on my previous single core processor.
Then I went to install a Big Ben that I just got so I could hook up another MEC or two for more ease in tracking. Well I finally got the default project to save at 48k and word clock after numerous "not responding" when trying to change anything in the project window.
Then I went to open up so old projects to check them out...changed internal again to word clock in the project window...still got a "not responding" a couple of times but when the project went to play only 2 of the submixes passed sound. I tried changing around the cards on the submixes and it followed them around.
So I went back to my 2 MEC setup and back to internal clock and now PARIS will not load. I get the initialization error of "no interface connected to the master card" So I went down to 1 MEC and plugged the cable into all 4 EDS cards which have not moved out of the MAGMA and when I go to start PARIS it says the same thing no matter what card I attach the MEC to.
It looks like it finds it everytime...lights sequence...hear the switching the red lights blink again and stops there with the message. Any thoughts?

Okay...I tried every combination of 3 mecs to 4 eds card and can not get anymore than 3 submixes to pass audio. The first card is the master and has to be connected or I really do get a interface not connected to master error. So with MEC 1 attached to the master I put the other two mecs in the 6 possible combinations and got the following. Seems that submix/card D won't play unless I connect a 4th mec. Anyone with 3 mecs and 4 eds cards???
EDS-MEC combination..............
A-1 A-1 A-1 A-1 A-1 A-1
B-x B-x B-2 B-3 B-2 B-3
C-2 C-3 C-3 C-2 C-x C-x
D-3 D-2 D-x D-x D-3 D-2
.........resultant audio...................

Well, one bit of good news is there's an actual developer on deck now, and I know he wants to see this work rock solid as much as we do. If you don't mind a bit of back and forthing I'm pretty confident he'll nail the problem for you (and by extension any other folks that might run into the same issue).
