I thought I had my new system running smoothly with an ExSys 1031 expansion chassis with 4 EDS cards.
Then I loaded a 48 track project, and Paris choked. I'm guessing that maybe a 1X PCI-E card just can't supply the data throughput required by the four EDS's.
I noticed on the PCI-E card some jumpers that can switch the voltage to 3.3volt, "NC" (which I assume is 5 volt). and 12 Volt.(Didn't want to go there...)Whilst we are at it, does anyone remember how much power (in Watts) each EDS card draws? I would have thought the 250 Watt inbuilt power supply in the ExSys could cope with four EDS cards.
Any Clarification would be appreciated.
Cheers,
Kim
