Ok guys I'm still kinda new to Paris Pro but I used the old system just fine. I just bought a second system so I can get more track (32 tracks) count.

1) First do I need to reinstall the paris OS again?

2) It links both C-16 together as one unit.

3) If I do install Paris Pro's OS will I need another
Challenge done by "Intelligent Devices"

4) What's the best way to set this up? In order.

5) I have the cards in place and the little cables to
the cards hooked up also. I have one BNC cable going
from the clock out form MEC-A to Mec-B word clock in.

6) Maybe just me but the book is not the best for muti-system
use.

7) Im unable to switch between the C-16 in the Project
window at the bottom. Only the first C-16 button is on.
The C-16 B will not work at all and the C-16 is stuck on.
Everything else seems to be there. I see the Mec's in the
patch bay. Looks like it finds it all. So I'm thinking I don't
have the drivers installed for the second EDS-Card.

I'm sure I'm making it a lot harder for myself then need be.
Any help would be great. Thanks - Jeff

I'll pick off the easy ones.

1) Nope, should just work.

2) Both C16s should work together.

3) Nope, again, it should just work.

...

7) Nope - if you see Mixer A and Mixer B, you're well along already; both your EDS cards are working correctly. Check the Ethernet cables that attach each C16 to the card; check cable ends and connectors for bent or missing pins; hit the sockets with some contact cleaner. You might want to check that you have each C16 assigned to its own submix - hold the Submix button on C16 1 and check that the light goes on over fader 1 (meaning it's assigned to Submix 1) and then hold the same button on C16 2 and check that the light goes on over its fader 2 (if it doesn't, hit 2 on the numerical keypad to assign it to Submix 2). Let us know what happens.

You need to tell the second c16 to go to submix two - if I remember hold down the submix button and press 2 (on the c16).

Thanks, I will give it a try and a bit here.
Yea, I was in the Project window it list all the
hardware you have installed and you can turn them on
and off. And every thing works fine but the C-16
buttons. The first C-16/A is stuck on and you can not
turn on the C-16/B at all.

So I will give your idea a try and see that happens and will get
back to you soon.

I also will need to ask you guys how to set up my wrapper for
the UA-1 powered plug-ins.
I got a wrapper form someone on ebay but don't know it it works as of yet. Should I post that in a different post? I'm still kinda
new to posting on this kind of thing. Let me know on that.
Maybe it works better to keep things straight for you all.

Sincerely,

Jeff

Sure, throw the UAD stuff in its own titled post, that should attract the right guys' attention.

As far as the C16 buttons, yes, that's probably simply because you haven't assigned a C16 as "B" yet - which you do by assigning it to Submix 2. PARIS will have assigned both C16s to Submix 1 by default (hence making them both C16 A's).
