Hey, kids.

Got a nice, solid Paris setup, with one card for now.

Are you guys up to date on Windows updates? I am having some troubles with
my Matrox video card drivers, and hoped maybe I could fix it with an XP update.

Basically, I decided to try using my onboard graphics, which was sorta glitchy:
I had to reinstall the drivers every time I botted up. So I uninstalled those
drivers and then the computer didn't recognize the Matrox card for a while,
and then when it finally "found" the card it won't finish installing the
drivers after reboot, and I've tried several times. Hmmm...

Sounds like you'll need to do a clean re-install of the OS...
I had that problem on several installs. Lesson learned, never mix graphics
drivers... And I think alot of those companies that put the junk graphics
in the motherboard don't pay attention to the uninstall... if it is like
ATI, I don't think those drivers truely uninstall... the only solution,
clean install of the OS and turn off the motherboard graphics forever....

Thanks, Ed. I really appreciate it.

This board has saved my ass so many times over the years. I am so sad to
see it slowly, slowly dwindle. I am far from abandoning Paris myself, and
I'm scared to see my homies jump ship.

Speaking of which, I emailed Deej recently and received no reply. Perhaps
I got SPAM-filtered?
