Acustica Audio Nebula

It's a VST plugin that has me not missing my analog console because of what it does.
IMHO there is nothing better inside the box once you get your workflow down.

Will could you expand on your use of Nebula.

I'd be interested in knowing if you strap it across every channel or just your 2 Buss. What FX / Dynamics your using etc?

I have the free version of 3 and am looking for other people's methodology when using Nebula

thanks in advance

Don,
Grab the full version & the third party libraries to really unlock Nebula. The free version just touches the surface. Just Grab The Alex B consoles with AITB Fate & Doc Fear EQ's, Cupwise Comps, Gene Lennon's Reverb & CDSoundMaster R2R with Tape Booster.
Sonic Heaven!

I use Reaper and go track by track using up to 7 Nebula's to get the track sound perfect then I freeze the track down, while keeping the original muted. I then inactive the Nebula's on the original muted track so if I want to make and changes later I can easily.

After I've gotten everything the way I want I then export all tracks & pull them into PARIS to mix.

After I bounce the PARIS mix I'll pull the mix into Wavelab and then Master using 4-6 Nebula's and Slate FX-G to maximize.

I find this the best of both worlds... Nodern DAW plugs with PARIS sound.

This is some of my current work using this method.

Very informative and helpful post Will.

I love the Nebula stuff too. Had a producer of a Grammy nominated artist here a few years back when I had just started using Nebula. He was just done with her latest CD and they had their choice of his physical plate verb, a real EMT 140 plate at another studio where they tracked and the Altiverb Wendy Carlos plate which they used for a variety of reasons. I loaded up a guitar track and installed a VNXT 140 plate from Nebula on it, and his jaw literally hit the floor. Well, not really, but he was shocked.

He then stocked up on the Nebula stuff himself.

Yeah,
Nebula is the future for digital IMHO.
I'm all about the results not the hype... that's why I left PT Logic and I'm back with PARIS, lol.

Just listened to some examples of VNXT 140
Sounds like the real plate ...
Fantastic...
Like ELO - When Time Stood Still ...

The Nebula Reverbs are the closest in the box to the real thing that we can get in 2013.

Thanks,

No, Nebula will not run in PARIS.... I use Reaper for Nebula because it is the best DAW at plugin efficiency, and it loads in like 2 seconds, lol.

Reaper 5 was just released, download it yourself, give it a test run, it's free for 60 days, incredibly stable with a great team coding it.

Cheers, I'll check it out this week.

How do you go about quickly getting your files out of Paris into Reaper?
