I would like to move up to V3.0 from V2.2.

How can I get the update or software and anything else needed to make this happen?

Hey Gregory! Your best bet is to try to buy a Paris 3.0 license from a Paris user off of the Paris Classifieds here on the Paris forum, you might even get a free* EDS card with it: ) In other words, try to find an EDS card that's for sale with a Paris 3.0 license. Or you could down load it from ID for free and then pay them $300.00 for a license for a software they haven't supported in 12 years!

If you down load it, it will run for 7 days before it time bombs out. I would try it, but keep using 2.2 and try to find a better deal on the Paris Classifieds.

It has been rumored that there are some tech savvy risk takers that have stripped out the PACE Anti Piracy software in 3.0, but I don't know much more than that. Only proceed with that option at your own risk.

Thanks! That certainly gives me a start. I'd
already contacted ID but no reply.
I was kinda enamored with the EQ display.
Overall, is v3.0 signifantly better than v2.2?
Is it worth the $300?

Yes 3.0 is better. I personally wouldn't Pay ID $300.00 for Paris 3.0 at this point, but I would try to get a license from another user. Someday the Paris software may no longer be necessary. Mike Audit is working on an ASIO driver that could some day give us real options.

The only way i would be willing to pay ID is if they came out with a new greatly improved version of Paris with all the bug fixes or they opened up the source code for development. Other than that, there is no way I would ever Pay ID $300.00 for Paris 3.0. I'd consider that other option first! That company has screwed every Paris user for going on 13 years now!
