DJ-
sorry to hear about this. It's frightening when we check obits for folks
our age or younger, too...!
Speaking of Unknown Beatles songs (or little known)
This is from Wikipedia:
________________________________
* Billy J. Kramer and the Dakotas — I'll Be On My Way, Bad To Me/I Call
Your Name, I'll Keep You Satisfied (1963); From A Window (1964);
* Tommy Quickly — Tip Of My Tongue (1963)
* The Fourmost — Hello Little Girl, I'm In Love (1963)
* Cilla Black — Love Of The Loved (1963); It's For You (1964); Step Inside
Love (1968)
* Rolling Stones — I Wanna Be Your Man (1963)
* The Strangers with Mike Shannon — One And One Is Two (1964)
* Peter & Gordon — Nobody I Know, A World Without Love, I Don't Want
To See You Again (1964)
* The Applejacks — Like Dreamers Do (1964)
* P.J. Proby — That Means A Lot (1965)
* Mary Hopkin — Goodbye (1969)
In addition, McCartney wrote songs under his own name for other artists prior
to the Beatles' split; notably Badfinger's 1969 hit Come and Get It. He also
penned the song Woman (1966) for Peter & Gordon under the pseudonym Bernard
Webb, to see if the song would gain success without his reputation. It did.

I remember several of these. Good tunes.

DJ.......Very sorry to hear of your loss. He seemed amazing!
I too, lost a bandmate, and dear friend, and the audiio industry lost out
on on a High Fidelity advocate!
Dean Roumanis worked at Krell manufactuing, running the whole operations
of the company. He was the COO and part owner. Krell, of course, makes
high end high fidelity components.
He also had a duo wherre he played bass with a guitar player and they did
some innovative, creative music.
He also played piano and keys with me. You can actually see and hear him
playing at my concert, since I put up a clip of one of the pieces on my site.
Here is an obituary for him at Sterophile magazine:
http://www.stereophile.com/news/080706roumanis/
and here is the link to the video and his brief music bio with some pictures.
He was ONLY 52 and full of life!!! Very sad indeed!

The bit from the ruttles where Jagger riffs on the ruttles always trying to
sell them a song is priceless.

Lou,
I'm very sorry to hear this. The obituary was very interesting and humorous
at the end. :)
Did he design that amazing power amp they are marketing now that adjusts
voltage to signal level (zero distortion)?
