One more thing...I realize this topic has been beaten to death, but I must
ask...I have been successful with using Wavelab 4.0 with Paris hardware in
the past, using the updated ASIO driver, but I am having problems now. Since
it has been so long since I have used Paris or Wavelab (1 year), my memory
fails as to when I fist started having problems, but if I remember
correctly, when I installed Finale's PrintMusic! notation program, Wavelab
no longer showed the Paris soundcard in the Prefences dialog box. I think
during that time that I also installed the drivers to my onboard sound as
well as install a midi driver for my keyboard. From that point on, Wavelab
only showed the onboard sound and not the Paris hardware. Is there anything
that I can do to get Paris back online with Wavelab. I have disabled or
uninstalled all of the culprits mentioned above except the notation program
and now Wavelab does not see any soundcard whatsoever.
Is ASIO directly tied to MIDI in some way. The reason I ask is because the
midi tab in my multimedia properties (windows 98se) states that the Paris
card in working, but has unknown problems with MIDI out. Please excuse my
ignorance. It's been awhile since I've sunk myself into this stuff. Thanks,
