So, why wouldn't this work? [message #71000] |

I just routed the digital output of my PCM91 thru the digi in of the MEC master
module - Master digi outs to the Mixer-A Insert module (being careful to
"complete the circuit" by routing the insert outs to the mixer ins) and PRESTO!!!
I have my PCM91 returns on channels 15 and 16 of my mixer w/ EQ!
So then I tried this: EDS plate reverbs on Aux 2 and 3 to "external" - routed
from Mixer-A FX module outs to Mixer-A Insert module ins, being careful to
complete the circuit, to have the EDS plates come up on channels 15 and 16
so as to EQ them (my biggest complaint about the EDS plates - no EQ!)...
but it don't work!
Any ideas why not?
Thanks!

Hmmm. That's way too simple for a complicated guy like me.
Good Idea.
Thanks,

Actually, I'm thinking about getting a PCI-424 MOTU interface for my old G4
and trying to use Digital Performer to access things like the Waves IR-L
reverb and the newer UAD-1 plugs, like the Neve EQ, which I can't use w/
Paris!!!
The good news and the bad news is that right now I'm so busy between working
and taking care of my kids (since my wife went back to work full time) that
I barely have time to set up for sessions, let alone experiment w/ new computer
configurations!
Question - Do you hear any degradation of signal for going thru the 20 bit
only ADAT I/O on ther MEC?

Hey Gantt!
If your thinking about a Adat light pipe interface, you might want to consider
these options.
