as long as either does 9.whatever it should fine. as to the dp thing
i don't think paris utilizes the second proc. due to the software.

Correct. A DP machine will be a waste, unless you can get one for the
same price. OS9 won't use the DP's natively, and Paris certainly
won't.

You need to make sure the G4 will boot into OS9 natively, NOT in
Classic. If it won't boot into 9 on its own, then it's useless to
you.

There is one MDD model that's the last one they made with 9.2 booting
ability -- that's the fastest Mac you can use.

It's the single processor 1.25Ghz MDD, which can only boot into OS9.2.2. I
believe that the Firewire 800 models are no good for this, only the FW400
MoBo will boot with 9.2.2 and run PARIS successfully. Cheers, Colin S.

FYI, OS 9 does utilize DPs, but it will not benefit Paris. A single processor
machine is preferable for Paris. The dual 1.25 machine runs hot and it's
loud. Either machine can boot in to OS9 or OSX.
