Keep in mind getting the new kidney wired up is the easy part . . . now he
really needs the prayers to keep him from rejecting it, in whatever form
your prayers take. If you don't do the God thing, just keep picturing Nappy
with a good healthy working kidney.

The keyboard player for an B&B band (real R&B... not the new
stuff) I do sound for got a new kidney about 15 years
ago.... he STILL forgets his meds sometimes! It's an
ongoing concern, even with everything 100%

Speaking of which, have you ever read up a bit on kidneys? These are truly
amazing organs. Your body has roughly 5 quarts of blood in it. The
entirety of that five quarts is filtered by the kidneys about every 45
minutes. With each heartbeat, toxins, wastes, nutrients, and electrolytes
are filtered out of the blood and within seconds the good stuff is put back
into the bloodstream, and the bad stuff is made into urine. Amazing.

Yeah, I'm a nerd, so what?

If I ever get another kidney, I'm gonna have the old one mounted and hang it
on the wall like a trophy bass.

Well, he's not going to be checking his e-mail for awhile yet,
I would imagine... he's going to be in the hospital for a week
or two, depending on his early progress.

That's why I was asking if anyone had a phone # - if anyone
knew him well enough to call his house & ask the family, etc.

I had his phone# a while back. I'm looking for it. My office system drive
died about a year ago. I had the essentials backed up but I just loaded
certain things to the new drive because I changed from Win ME to XP. I'm
pretty sure it was on that old drive. I've still got it here and I have been
fishing stuff off of it as needed with a little recovery utility I have..
I'll see if I can scare it up later today.

wow. that was easy.

I just called and spoke to his boy. Nappy's in recovery and doing well. I
told him to tell Nappy his Paris friends wish him well.

I don't think he'd mind me telling you the number is 619-435-1794

Good job, Steve. I think if Nappy's feeling up to it, some encouraging
phone calls would be good.
