Can 4 Mecs run from internal wordclock daisychained ? [message #105696]

Hi,
I wonder except for the external clock way has anyone tried connect 3-4 mecs using internal clock just by connecting from one main mec wordclock out to all other or from one to another daisy chained ?

I had 3 MECs running with no problems using the internal word clock. I have 4 running now but they are all clocked to a big ben that I got a deal on at this point.

Well if that don't beat all. I thought the rule was two MECs maximum without going to an external clock and "UseHouseSync=1" in the config (I've never owned more than two MECs at a time). Live and learn.

Don't remember if I did anything special at that point as it was almost 3 years ago but I remember the limit being two and somehow got 3 to work. I still have 4 with my big ben but have looked at going back to 2 MECs anyway. Sorry I can't remember more and I am out of town for a few weeks to even try checking 3 for you.

The only thing I have to add to this relates to the ADAT card.

I have a 442 and an MEC both synced to word clock.

If I sync my Behringer ADA8000 from the ADAT card, moment that the audio is sampled at is delayed relative to my 8 in card.

If I sync the ADA8000 to word clock, the moment that the audio is sampled at is identical to my 8 in card.

I don't know if this helps anyone or not.

Hi,
Tried three mecs daisy chained on word clock and work just fine !!
No exetrnal wordclock needed/...
Don't know that thing of two mecs limit using internal Paris clcok came from...
