Are you logged on with an administrator account to Windows when you do these
things?
Also, go to control panel. Double click system, advanced tab, performance
section/settings pushbutton, data execution prevention tab, turn it OFF.
Ditto for problems on the firewall settings, just kill it (you are 'not'
connected to the internet on this machine, right?)
Just a few things to try. Lemme know if it does you any good.

The machine will be networked to another machine that is online, but only
one folder will be accessable. This folder is on my office machine, is virus
protected and will be used to exchange files between the two DAWs.

Hey, Deej... if you can't get this thing working by tomorrow,
perhaps I we can get on the hpone together & I could help walk
you through some stuff, because it sounds like you might be
having some of the same problems I had when I installed my new
mobo & CPU. I've got a session tonight, so I wouldn't be able
to do it until tomorrow... shoot me an e-mail at:
neil*DOT*henderson*AT*sbcglobal.net & I'll give you my phone #
if you haven't gotten it to cooperate by then.

Oh, and in the meanwhile, try re-loading your USB drivers all
over again... I had to do this before my Syncrosoft drivers
were regognized. Forgot to mention that earlier.
