hey,

do any of you know how to capture live action game play videos, like the
ones featured on www.gamespot.com? for games like quake, fear,
half-life, doom etc...

it's okay, I've figured it out. we use camtasia here for training vids
and I think it'll work. also, apparently, there one for gamers that
records out of your framebuffer called Fraps.

Jef,

I use fraps all the time to capture me kicking somebodies ass for
posterity. Works great and doesn't seem to interfere with the
performance with any of the games I play.

I just got a copy and it seems to be pretty good....we are in the
process of putting another quad xeon and a 1.2terabyte fiber channel
array in the graphics lab so I should be able to put record an entire game.
