Hey,
Sorry need to vent for a sec after talking to our Digi rep.
Wow looks pretty impressive. It's jammed packed with work flow improvements and features that we've had in Cubase, Nuendo for 6 years, Sonar for 3 years,
Samplitude for 2 years, Saw Studio... oh never mind, Logic for 1 year. Oh still no plug in delay compensation.
I love the revolutionary idea of Satellite Link

---
Control multiple Pro Tools|HD systems from one.
Satellite Link is a powerful software option that allows you to synchronize and control up to five Pro Tools|HD systems as one,
with near sample-accurate lock, from a single transport.
With multi-master transport and solo-link capabilities,
and support for the new Video Satellite and Video Satellite LE options,
Satellite Link is the perfect solution for post-production and music environments with multiple operators and multiple Pro Tools|HD systems.
Satellite Link is coming soon — stay tuned.
---
System Link anyone?

The Avid Video interchange at least sounds like big improvement sense PTs interaction with Avid has always been so piss poor which is funny considering the the relation....

Well on the bright side if some one buys the Complete Production Toolkit they will have some approaching the value and functionality of Cubase, Nuendo, Sonar, Logic, etc.

Chris

Protools doesn't have plug in delay compensation ? You're kidding me right
? If that's true then that is majorly lame.

HD/TDM certainly does. PTLE does not.

Cheers,

TC

Hi TC,
Yep.
Probably don't want to put it in the LE version.

Yeah for sure because that would be too useful.

I just checked it out.. big update..

Looks like they took a lot from Logic Pro.. finally a dedicated midi
editor and score editor. The lack of that has kept me from PT and in
Logic for the last few years. I'm not sure if that's enough for me to
switch back though.. I'm currently running Logic Pro/TDM, and will soon
be running tracks to Paris again for mixing..

Cheers,

TC

My thoughts exactly. Divi has offered nothing new.
Nuendo digital performer cubase sonar.

On the other hand, the Roland/cakewalk marriage seems to be
Paying dividends. sonar 8 with it's and very cool mixer controller
Along with io interface with a fantom g 128
voice synth. Killer.

(whiney voice) But it's an "industry standard"

I gave up on Digi prices when I tried to upgrade from the truly
awful-sounding Session 8, and I've never looked back. After 19 years I
still love Cubase more with every release.
