Hello Paris Users,
I recently installed to EDS 1000's in a MDD Dual boot Power Mac
and I keep getting an error message that the EDS cards are not connected
right. If I use one at a time, both cards work individualy in any of the
available PCI slots. When I install both cards I get the message. I have
double checked my inter-connections but still get the message. Even if I
install both cards and do not make the inter-connections, I still get the
error message. Any help? Please?

I second Rick's comments. I spent a very frustrating morning trying
to get my first dual-card setup to work until a very patient Rod
Lincoln walked me through things on the phone.
As it turned out, even though they LOOKED like they were all plugged
in right, I was missing a row of pins on one of the big cables. It's
extremely easy to be off by one pin or even miss an entire row. Trust
me, I've done it. And I'm a computer tech by trade, so it's not like
the first ribbon cable I've ever plugged in.

Hey thank you Paul and Rick,
You are exactly right. After staying up until 6 AM, I fianally managed to
get it right. I put them both in my G3 and it worked right off. Then I put
them back in the G4 with out dis inter connecting them, just left them wired
together, and there it was. Thanks again guys!!
